[Book Review] Disney's The Lion King by Don Ferguson

Disney's The Lion King is a ninety-six page picture book adaptation of the film of the same name. It's a pretty comprehensive adaptation of the plot, with a few errors here and there (Scar's attempt to divert Simba's wrath to the hyenas is altered, Kopa appears instead of Kiara, etcetera) and some interesting elaborations (such as Nala's mother being named Sarafina).

It's a great book to read with young Disney and Lion King fans who can handle a ninety-six page picture book, though I highly recommend watching the movie first. (Though, if your child has already seen Simba's Pride before reading this, you may need to explain why exactly the book is referring to Kiara as Simba's son.)
