[Book Review] Disney's Hercules by Lisa Ann Marsoli

Disney's Hercules is a ninety-five page picture book adaptation of the film of the same name. Given its length, it has the luxury of presenting each scene of the film, barring the songs; the one big flaw I'd point out is the replacement of the Muses' narration/songs with some rather clumsy poems.

This should be a nice book for Disney and Hercules fans who are capable of handling such a long picture book (either independently or with an adult), but I highly recommend watching the film first.

I also highly recommend introducing your child to the actual mythology afterwards. You wouldn't believe how many young adults I know who still believe this film is an accurate representation of classical mythology.
